Asia stock markets were little changed on Monday, following Friday’s sharp sell-off on Wall Street amid escalating Middle East tensions and global economic concerns. Investors digested a batch of mixed Chinese economic data.

By Johann M Cherian and Amanda Cooper LONDON (Reuters) -Stocks fell, while oil and gold rose on Tuesday, as fighting between Israel and Iran entered a fifth day, raising investor concerns over the risk of a broader regional conflict in a week packed with key central bank decisions.

Top on the agenda this week is a host of central bank monetary policy decisions, with the spotlight on the US Federal Reserve.

More than two dozen U.S. Air Force KC-135R and KC-46A tankers took off from bases across the U.S. and headed east over the Atlantic, The War Zone reported earlier. The U.S. Navy's aircraft carrier USS Nimitz has also appeared to be heading toward the Middle East from Asia.

The U.S. military is deploying more fighter aircraft to the Middle East and extending the deployment of other warplanes, bolstering U.S. military forces in the region as the war between Israel and Iran rages,
