On Saturday, the Jets interviewed three candidates for their vacant general manager position: Broncos assistant GM Darren Mougey, Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark, and Bengals senior personnel director Trey Brown. More candidates are expected to be interviewed as well.

Ryan Grigson, Chris Spielman, Trey Brown, Lance Newmark, and Darren Mougey were all interviewed Saturday for their open general manager position. The organization also interviewed New Orleans Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi for the head job on their end.

Spielman, 59, has been the special assistant to the president, CEO & chairperson for the Lions since 2021. He helped Detroit, which finished the 2024 season with a franchise-record 15 wins and the No. 1 seed in the NFC, in hiring general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell.
