A Lancashire-led probe into the contact between local agencies and Southport attacker Axel Rudakubana will begin next month, the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) understands.

Following his guilty pleas, the ECHO has revealed that Rudakubana had attempted to take a taxi to his former school, Range High School in Formby, on July 22 2024. Sources confirmed that Rudakubana was permanently excluded from the school in October 2019 after he was found with a knife.
