President Donald Trump directly threatened Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday and alluded to the possibility the U.S. could strike Iran, demanding an “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” as speculation looms over the president’s next move.

As the five-day conflict between Israel and Iran intensifies, President Donald Trump returned to Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, cutting short his G7 summit attendance to address the burgeoning crisis.

On June 15, Trump rejected an Israeli plan to kill Ali Khamenei, a senior U.S. official told USA TODAY. The U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the sensitive talks, confirmed that Israel was presented with an opportunity to kill Khamenei but Trump objected to the plan and steered it off.
