The Election Commission is set to announce Delhi assembly election results after a fierce contest between AAP and BJP. Today's counting will determine leadership and the fate of the union territory.

Most of the other exit poll results, released on Wednesday, have projected a comfortable win in the Delhi assembly election for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

However, the exit polls have a patchy record in India and have predicted wrong results in the past. “Exit polls have always proven to be wrong for the AAP," said party spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar. "Every time, the AAP has stormed to power with a massive mandate, and this time will be no different," she added.

Incumbent Aam Aadmi Party on the back foot because of voter fatigue, but analysts predict a ‘much tougher fight’ between the parties.
