An AWS (Amazon Web Services) issue caused major problems across the internet Monday morning, including among the world's most popular games
A huge number of websites and games are experiencing outages today (Monday 20th October), including platforms such as Roblox and Fortnite. The source of the issues appears to stem from Amazon’s cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS), which hosts many of the world's platforms, including banking services.
A major AWS outage is impacting global platforms including Fortnite, Roblox, PlayStation Network, and major banks, as DownDetector reports widespread failures.
No charges have been filed but Florida AG James Uthmeier says the criminal subpoenas "will enable us to gather more information for our prosecutors."

Games of all types, from Fortnite to Wordle to Roblox have been affected by the AWS outage. Problems started at about 7.30am BST (that's 2.30am ET) when gamign services started having huge spikes on the outage-detecting website Downdetector.
It took a day without Amazon Web Services for Americans to realize how reliant the internet is on a single company.
