As the long winter nights drag on, there's a little country light at the end of the tunnel as the Grand Ole Opry unveils the beginnings of its momentous 100th birthday celebrations. Kicking off the year with its annual winter retreat to its original home of the Ryman Auditorium,

Starr will make his Opry debut on February 21 at the Grand Ole Opry House as part of the Opry’s ongoing 100th Anniversary celebration. Starr kicked off his sold-out two-night show (Jan. 14-15) at the Ryman Auditorium Tuesday night, to celebrate his new country album, Look Up.

And that has paid off in one of the greatest honors a country performer can get, an invite to play the Grand Ole Opry. Per Taste of Country, the former Beatles drummer, who recently released his country album “Look Up” — will headline a show at the Ryman.
