Roblox is now rolling out facial age checks and age-based grouping for chat features on a voluntary basis ahead of it becoming mandatory in select markets next month.

Roblox has said it will roll out compulsory facial recognition or ID checks from next month for players wanting to access its chat features.

Under the new policy, all users will be required to verify their age before accessing chat features on Roblox.
