President Trump said Russia and Ukraine were undertaking a major prisoner swap, in a post on social media early Friday.“A major prisoners swap was just completed between Russia and Ukraine,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Ukraine pioneered the use of small drones on the battlefield. But in Russia’s Kursk region, Moscow’s fiber-optic cables helped turn the tide.

The announcement was made ahead of an expected prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia on Friday – an outcome of last week’s face-to-face talks in Turkey, the first time the two countries have held direct talks at any level in three years.
