Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante says the rules introduced by the Quebec government  aren’t working. Now, short-term rentals will only be allowed between June 10 and Sept. 10 at primary residences across the city.

The City of Montreal has announced a new plan to crack down on illegal short-term rentals, but both Airbnb and the province's tourism minister warns, it may only serve to hurt tourism in the city. Matt D'Amours has the details.

Chartwell Retirement Residences has struck a deal to buy Rosemont Les Quartiers, a retirement residence in Montreal, for up to 136 million Canadian dollars ($94.3 million).
