Following an uneven few months, the Minnesota Timberwolves (27-21) might be finding their footing in the Western Conference. They matched a season-best four-game winning streak with Wednesday’s road victory versus the Phoenix Suns and surpassed it in Thursday’s 138-113 win against the Utah Jazz (10-36).

The bad news was that they lost Julius Randle to right groin soreness. The good news was that Minnesota's young guys gave the team everything it needed in a 138-113 blowout win over the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.

The Timberwolves outscored Phoenix 30-14 over the next 10 minutes to deliver a 121-113 road victory over a team it is jostling with for position in the middle of the Western Conference standings. Wednesday’s bout was very reminiscent of Minnesota’s first-round sweep over the Suns last spring.
