A Georgia teen wanted for murder is behind bars after reportedly being caught shoplifting at a Walmart. According to the Valdosta Police Department, Demirie Washington, 16, was taken into custody Tuesday after a report of a shoplifting at a Walmart in Riverdale.

The Food and Drug Administration has released an update on a recall for chicken broth sold at Georgia Walmarts.

TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Robert G. Wright was arrested and charged for shooting Keith King following a road rage incident. According to reports, King followed Wright into the Walmart parking lot and blocked Wright’s car from leaving. King then approached Wright’s vehicle in a threatening way – which led to Wright to shoot him multiple times.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ), 2,023 cases of Great Value, Chicken Broth, sold in 48-ounce containers at Walmart, have been recalled. Each case includes six units of the product, meaning 12,138 cartons of broth were recalled.

Chicken broth sold by Walmart in several states, including Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas has been classified as a Class II recall. The broth was produced by Tree House Foods Inc., which is based in Canada, and was initially recalled on Dec. 11, 2024, according to the Food and Drug Administration notice.

Broth sold in Walmart stores has been assigned a risk class by the FDA after it was recalled over spoilage concerns.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has filed a lawsuit against Sam’s Club after the company reportedly fired a disabled employee unlawfully, according to a news release.

Van Leeuwen plans to open at Ponce City Market. It will take an unoccupied space that will be converted into a 1,190-square-foot ice cream shop, according to building permits filed with the city. It is also planning a Dunwoody location at the Park Place shopping center, according to its website.
