Deebo Samuel may not be the only San Francisco 49ers receiver on the move this offseason. While Samuel has since been traded to the Washington Commanders, general manager John Lynch acknowledged this week that teams have also called the organization regarding the availability of fellow wideout Brandon Aiyuk.

The 49ers may have moved on from Deebo Samuel, but their salary cap will still take a hit. San Francisco will take a $31 million dead cap hit, which comes from money that had already been paid to Samuel that hadn’t counted against the team’s salary cap due to the structure of his contract.

The 49ers have agreed to trade Samuel to the Washington Commanders, a person familiar with the situation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade isn’t official yet. San Francisco will receive a fifth-round pick in exchange.
