The Marion County Election Board is investigating whether Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales violated election law by using video from an official visit in a campaign ad.

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun has been signing into law a slew of bills changing voting and the administration of elections that passed through the legislature during the 2025 session even though the November 2024 election did not bring any claims of widespread voter fraud or concerns about ballot security.

Most people spoke in support of vote centers, where citizens could cast ballots anywhere in the county, not a specific precinct

Indiana Borough Council will continue a tradition of holding voting meetings on election day, with a session Tuesday night at 7 p.m. that will be moved from the usual location

The Monroe County Election board rejected vote centers across the county in a 2-1 decision Monday. The initiative needed a unanimous agreement to pass. The dissenting vote came from Danny Shields, the lone Republican on the board.

Registered voters in Indiana will soon receive postcards in the mail from the Indiana Election Division as part of the state’s latest voter roll maintenance effort.
