Absolutely not. I'm using it just like I would use Windows; only a few minor procedures are different. BTW, I wish Windows had an option for a taskbar like the one in Linux Mint MATE.
Windows does have some basic text search capabilities, such as findstr in Command Prompt or Select-String in PowerShell, but grep is practically a lingua franca for developers.
