Freshman Sen. Adam Schiff of California was apparently so exhausted from his heated exchange with Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi that he was later caught napping during her confirmation hearing on Wednesday.

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., and Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, got into a heated exchange at a House hearing Tuesday that culminated with Mace challenging Crockett by asking if she wanted to “take it outside.”

Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who was nominated to be head of President-elect Donald Trump’s Justice Department, lashed out at Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) in a fiery exchange during her confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.
