Kings Dominion has kept a portion of the park open during December, draped the Eiffel Tower with Christmas lights and offered ice skating on the park's large fountain.

Kings Dominion announced the schedule for its 2025 season on Wednesday, notably missing any mention of its Winterfest holiday event.

Winterfest is free to attend. The snow sculptures are at Riviera Plaza and Flat Iron Park along the Lake Geneva shore. Winterfest also includes an ice sculpture walk through the downtown area, bonfires on the beach, live entertainment and human dog sled racing.
