George Nolfi, known for his screenplay work on movies such as The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean’s 12, has been tapped to write New Jedi Order, the Daisy Ridley -centric Star Wars movie.

For about five years now, Star Wars shows on Disney+ have been the biggest way the franchise set in a galaxy far, far away has been staying afloat, with The Rise of Skywalker being the last of the released Star Wars movies in order.

Daisy Ridley’s “Star Wars” movie is still alive. Lucasfilm has hired George Nolfi (“The Borne Ultimatum,” “Ocean’s 12”) to write the script for the long-gestating follow-up to 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,

Ridley is attached to star. Nolfi is the latest writer to come aboard the project as Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson, along with "Peaky Blinders" creator Steven Knight, wrote previous drafts of the script,

The Star Wars franchise’s upcoming New Jedi Order movie, which follows Rey as she leads a new generation of Force-users, has secured another new writer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, George Nolfi (The Bourne Ultimatum,

Lucasfilm has hired yet another screenwriter to bang out a new script for Star Wars: New Jedi Order. The still-in-development sci-fi sequel is set to bring back Daisy Ridley as Rey, if it can ever lock down a screenplay.

Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is still attached to direct the story about Rey Skywalker, 15 years after the events of 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker. The plot is rumored that Rey, the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine, will oversee a school of Jedis.

If the deal makes, this would send the project into hyperdrive after two years of development and make it the next 'Star Wars' movie to go into production.
