May 30 (Reuters) - AI chip firm Nvidia and Microsoft are expected next week to debut the first Windows PCs that use Nvidia's chips as the main processor, Axios reported on Saturday, citing sources. Nvidia-powered computers are expected both from Microsoft's Surface brand as well as other computer makers including Dell.
Nvidia unveiled a powerful laptop chip for Windows machines on Monday, staking its claim in the market for next-generation consumer PCs integrated with artificial intelligence. It is not the first time Nvidia chips have powered Windows devices -- a range of tablets did so in the early 2010s.
The technology giant's boss Jensen Huang called the move the "reinvention of the computer".
