Amazon Web Services has broken down and that means half the internet suddenly doesn’t work, including many prominent video games and services.

Millions of people were unable to use their favourite apps after an outage on Monday night in what was a troubling reminder.

Amazon pinned the outage on issues related to their domain name system, an apparatus that converts web addresses into IP addresses so websites and apps can load on internet-connected devices.
