A Camden County mother is suing Roblox and Discord, saying her daughter was sexually exploited while using the platforms. The lawsuit says the 11-year-old girl, who is now 14, was targeted by a male predator on Roblox who posed as a young boy in October 2022.

"The Sesame Workshop team understands the great power of meeting learners where they are, not just by showing up on Roblox, but by bringing to life a living, explorable Hub and leading players into worlds and narratives that can motivate and reinforce learning,” said Rebecca Kantar, head of education at Roblox.

Profanities and other offensive content that basic word-filtering tools are designed to catch can be found in some game titles and user profiles on children's gaming platform Roblox, searches of the website show,
