A California man has been arrested for abducting a 10-year-old child he reportedly met on social media apps Roblox and Discord, authorities said Wednesday.

Louisiana AG Liz Murrill has filed a lawsuit against Roblox, accusing the gaming platform of enabling child exploitation and failing to protect young users.

The lawsuits allege that Roblox prioritized its profits over child safety. The gaming platform rebuts claims it would intentionally risk the safety of its users.

Police say a 37-year-old man groomed an Iowa teen he met on game platform Roblox, then drove her Tennessee, his home state, to sexually assault her.

"Roblox is simply not doing enough to protect our kids, to inform parents, and to go after child predators. As you know, I am leading the fight for the full release of the Epstein files.

Roblox has responded to the community outrage following the platform's ban of a YouTuber who hunts child predators operating on Roblox.
