Rain is returning across much of the Southeast this week, and Georgia is right in the middle of the wet pattern. AccuWeather says the heaviest downpours could raise the risk of flash flooding but could also offer some drought relief to states stressed by months of dry weather.
Temperatures will be mainly in the 70s during this time frame. A pattern change should begin a dry streak Monday, with dry air sweeping across the region beginning Tuesday period this will allow nighttime temperatures to drop back into the 50s, with comfortable days around 80°. Hotter temperatures may try to build in by the first weekend of June.
We are going into an interesting weather pattern the next 3-5 days where there will be a zone of showers and thunderstorms. But, not all locations will be in the zone.
