With a simple AutoHotkey script, you can tell your computer to launch different programs on startup with different combinations of the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock functions turned on.
I'd see if there is a BIOS update that lets you adjust this but it may not exist. Side note, unless the computer has a number pad it doesn't make sense for it to default to numlock on.
Or is my keyboard weirdly incompatible with this very basic and fundamental feature of the ATX Personal Computer standard? Numlock works fine if I turn it on manually.
