I did some reading and it seems that the Windows 7 machine will only read it as a Basic disk. So is there anyway to change it to a basic disk without me losing the data on it?

And I forgot to mention, that this is the method to recover data if you have a dynamic disk that gets a corrupted partition database and becomes unusable.
