DevOps specialist GitLab has officially taken over the control of a GitLab extension for Microsoft's open source, cross-platform Visual Studio Code editor.

The GitLab 17.4 development platform brings updates such as a connection to the Extension Marketplace for third-party extensions and more intelligent code suggestions with GitLab Duo.

Stating that they are continuously improving GitLab integration, Efftinge also mentioned the GitLab VS Code Extension.

As part of the partnership, Secure Code Warrior will make its learning platform capabilities available to developers on GitLab’s DevOps Platform, supporting a developer-led security approach.
