GitHub has moved all of its developer Pages from its .com domain to a new one over security concerns, specifically browser and phishing vulnerabilities.

Using GitHub Pages to host the URL shortening website itself, [nelsontky] actually repurposes GitHub’s issue tracking system to map the shortened identifier to the original URL.
