Chrooma Keyboard, one of our favorite keyboard apps for Android, has received a big update today to version 2.0. Along with a ton of new features, the app is now free in the Google Play Store.

Today, Google Keyboard for Android was added to the Play Store and now anyone with a compatible device may download it for free.

Popular paid Android keyboard SwiftKey goes free for all SwiftKey is taking the freemium route, where the app itself is free, but you spend money on new themes.

The January 2025 update for Google Play Games on PC adds the ability to play your favorite Android games with only a keyboard.

However, keyboard remapping is only available on a handful of titles at the moment. The Play Games for PC beta is not very resource intensive, but it can bring Android games to underpowered PCs too.

Now Chromebook users can try out keyboard support for a few Android games with touchscreen-only controls. The new feature is in early alpha testing starting with ChromeOS 105.
