"These disgraceful attacks against him are not the John that I know and respect," Pa.'s GOP Sen. Dave McCormick told Politico.
Other recent polls conducted in the Pittsburgh area show that his base is sticking with him. A recent report has raised concerns about alleged tensions between him and his wife, Gisele, regarding his health regimen, his views on Israel, and her supposed conflicts with his staff.
But one impending confirmation in particular, seemed to bother Fetterman immensely, New York Magazine reported, as he was torn on whether to vote for then-Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth, who faced allegations of sexual assault and alcohol abuse.
The allegations about Fetterman surfaced as Democrats broadly have faced criticism for sweeping concerns about members’ fitness for office under the rug.
