Week 8 of the Associated Press men's college basketball rankings dropped Monday. Alabama climbed in the polls, and Auburn dropped out of the rankings.

The Bulldogs have rolled through their non-conference schedule and are headed for another high seed in the NCAAs. But Utah State’s situation is precarious.
