Extreme cold weather watch issued for Southwest Florida with possible snow flurries.

Another cold front will move into the area Friday. Highs will be considerably cooler in the upper 40s and low 50s. It will be colder Saturday with highs in the upper 30s.

Though precipitation is over for the time being, freezing temperatures will be back.

Now that the cold front has cleared, we are waking up to a chilly change with lows in the 50s and wind chill temperatures in the 40s.

The frigid winter weather in 1977 and 2010 also occurred when the Arctic Oscillation was in the negative phase.
