The new Doomsday Clock time has been set by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Here’s what it means.
Don't worry, spring will be here before you know it. Here's what to know about daylight saving time this year.
In just a few weeks, many Americans will partake in the semi-annual tradition of switching clocks and “spring ahead” for daylight saving time 2026. This year, DST will begin Sunday, March 8, at 2 a.m. At that time, clocks will “spring forward” one hour to 3 a.m.
While DST was observed in some areas, the tradition became official in the U.S. in 1966 when the Uniform Time Act of 1966 was passed. The law was amended by The Energy Policy Act of 2005, which extended daylight saving time from March to November, after previously running from April to October.
Daylight saving time is the period between March and November when most Americans set their clocks forward to gain more daylight in the evenings.
