DiJonai Carrington scored 15 points off the bench, and the Minnesota Lynx beat the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty 83-71 on Sunday.

This was the first game between the teams at Barclays Center since New York won the decisive Game 5 of the WNBA Finals last fall.

The WNBA’s two best teams go head-to-head Sunday in Brooklyn, where the New York Liberty will play host to the Minnesota Lynx for WNBA action at the Barclays Center.
