Sean O'Malley sees various options for BMF champion Max Holloway's next fight. Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23- 8 UFC) became the first fighter to retain the BMF belt when he outlasted the retiring Dustin Poirier in Saturday's UFC 318 headliner at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
The UFC event broke records, with over 18,000 fans packed the arena where they watched, heckled and cheered as two fighters clashed in a cage. Theo Von, Lil Wayne and other celebrities were in attendance.
Max Holloway defeated Dustin Poirier and produced another five-round war that is fitting of the belt that he currently holds. Having stopped ‘Blessed’ at UFC 308 last year, Topuria trolled Holloway on social media by claiming that the BMF belt is still his, posting a photo of his replica title.
If Donald Trump and Dana White are to believed, the UFC will promote a historic MMA card on the White House Lawn to commemorate the 250th birthday of the United States of America next Independence Day.
