A system will bring another round of snow and sleet to the New York City area Saturday night. Winter storm watches will be in effect for parts of the Tri-State Area from 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m.

Good Thursday evening to one and all! After strong winds gusting over 50 miles per hour at times today, focus is all in on a snowmaker that looks to arrive headed into the weekend. Tonight, winds will relax as overnight lows fall into the single digits.

The first in a series of quick-hitting wintry weather systems moved in Thursday and brought snow and an icy mix across Massachusetts.

The majority of the snow accumulation in Massachusetts will occur between late Saturday night and early Sunday.

Snow is already beginning in western Massachusetts as of 8 a.m. Thursday, and it will pick up in the eastern part of the state later this morning. The system is expected to turn into freezing rain this afternoon before tapering off in the evening hours,
