Discovery, Michelle Yeoh returns as Capt. Philippa Georgiou for the movie, Star Trek: Section 31. Plus, Gladiator II, The Wild Robot, and Blink Twice all hit streaming, and Steven Soderbergh's Presence and the action-thriller Flight Plan — starring Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Dockery — open in theaters.

Olatunde Osunsanmi credited the “relentless” Star Trek franchise overseer Alex Kurtzman, Aaron Baiers (the president of TV at Kurtzman’s production company, Secret Hideout) and Michelle Yeoh for Section 31 ultimately being made, saying:

Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh, who is starring in the upcoming Paramount+ feature film Star Trek: Section 31, recently said there was a time she considered quitting action films, but an Oscar-winner helped her to change her mind.

In Section 31, 99 percent of those scenes belong to Michelle Yeoh’s character, Philippa Georgiou,” director Olatunde Osunsanmi, who also serves as writer and executive producer on the movie, tells Entertainment Weekly.
