Neeraj Chopra finally breached the elusive 90m frontier with a 90.23m throw but the trailblazing Indian had to settle for a second place behind Germany's Julian Weber.

The praise came soon after Chopra’s landmark effort of 90.23 metres at the Doha Diamond League 2025, where he finished second behind Germany’s Julian Weber, who stole the win with a last-gasp throw of 91.

Neeraj said it lifted the burden off the shoulders of millions of Indians, including those who doubted whether he would ever be able to breach the 90m mark.
