Nets Wire on MSNReport: Nets regarded as team to trade up in 2025 NBA DraftThe Brooklyn Nets were disappointed after Monday's 2025 NBA Draft Lottery and as a result, they reportedly are regarded as a trade-up candidate.

The 2025 NBA Draft Lottery did not go as expected. The best way to describe it was, 'the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.' While it was expected that one of the bottom six or seven teams in the league would land Cooper Flagg at No. 1, that wasn't the case.

Looking at all five picks, the leader is Spanish wing Hugo Gonzalez with four mentions followed by Israeli point guard Ben Saraf and American power forwards Yaxel Lendebourg and Rasheer Fleming, with three each. Overall, more than a dozen players are linked to Brooklyn. So a lot of uncertainty.

The most likely answer won't excite fans. Brooklyn entered the offseason with hopes of landing a franchise-altering talent. They had two clear avenues to do so: spiking a top draft pick or cashing in their chips for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
