Senior pacer Mohammed Shami, who last represented India in the 2023 ICC World Cup at home, has represented the Men in Blue in the shortest format just 23 times since making his debut in 2014.

Mohammed Shami will reportedly make a comeback to the Indian team during the five-match T20I series against England from January 22. While the official squad from BCCI is yet to be announced, a report in Indian Express revealed the India squad for England T20Is.

The selectors have also opted for Dhruv Jurel as the second wicketkeeper in the squad with the in-form Sanju Samson being the first choice as Rishabh Pant misses out on a spot.
