Murals of Major League Baseball legends Jackie Robinson and Minnie Miñoso at Dorsey Park in Miami's Overtown neighborhood have been defaced by vandals with racist graffiti. The defacement of the murals at Dorsey Park,

Robinson and Miñoso both occupy pioneering roles, not just in MLB history, but in the fight for civil rights. Robinson broke baseball's color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947, while Miñoso was the first Afro-Latino player in MLB and the first Black player in the history of the Chicago White Sox.

The paintings are at Dorsey Park, a historic Negro League park in a neighborhood known as the 'Harlem of the South' during segregation.
