The National Weather Service issued advisories on Sunday from Georgia to New Jersey warning of an increased risk of wildfires.

POLK COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) — Efforts to put out a more than 400-acre wildfire continued into Sunday in Polk County. According to Polk County Emergency Management, the Melrose Fire continued to spread overnight, and the state forestry service estimated the fire to be between 400 – 500 acres in size with 0% contained as of Sunday morning.
