Laurence Fishburne hasn't seen Will Smith play Neo in the “Matrix”-inspired music video for Smith’s single “Beautiful Scars” with rapper Big Sean. In fact, Fishburne wasn't even aware the video existed.

"It's not like I didn't say, ‘I'd like to offer my services.' I did," the actor said of reprising his role as Morpheus in the sci-fi film franchise.

Laurence Fishburne is not sure if he will ever reprise his role of Morpheus in The Matrix universe. The actor appeared on The View and said the team “didn’t respond well” after he pitched himself to reprise his role in the 2021 sequel.
