Los Angeles Chargers undrafted rookie quarterback DJ Uiagalelei had been wearing No. 13 through the first three weeks of training camp, including in the Hall of Fame Game last week. It never quite felt right.

Back when the Chargers traded Allen to the Chicago Bears last offseason, they acquired the 10th pick in the 2024 NFL draft. That, in turn, was one of two picks the Chargers traded away to the New England Patriots to move up and draft Ladd McConkey in the second round that year.

The Chargers and Keenan Allen are officially reuniting. Los Angeles is signing Allen to a one-year, $8.5 million contract, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported. The team announced the deal shortly after.
