A cold front moving through South Florida during the day Saturday will bring a quick moving line of showers through the area. Behind the front, cooler and drier air will fill back into the area by the afternoon and evening hours.

It was warmer in Anchorage — yes, that Anchorage, in Alaska — than it was in some parts of Florida early Wednesday morning. At 5:30 a.m., it was 45 degrees, with a wind chill of 41 in Anchorage, according to the National Weather Service.
