Carmella (Leah Van Dale) opens up about her departure from WWE. Carmella had been with WWE since 2013, and she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship during her time with the company.

Carmella recently shared details about her exit from WWE in an interview with Kail Lowry for the “Barely Famous” show.

During her title reign, Carmella successfully defended the championship against Flair and Asuka, two future WWE Hall of Famers. After 131 days, Flair won the SmackDown Women's Championship in a triple-threat match against Carmella and Becky Lynch.

Carmella recently departed WWE after the expiration of her contract, with Carmella having been out of action since March 2023, taking time off to have her first child.

As picked up on by f4wonline, a preview of Carmella's appearance on the Barely Famous podcast was dropped on Instagram. The full episode debuts on Friday, but for now, this preview sees the former SmackDown Women's Champion address her WWE exit.
