Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee has plans to address the community in response to the Trump Administration’s calling out of the East Bay city when considering whether or not to send National Guard troops into more cities across the country.

Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee and a handful of other local leaders on Thursday denounced President Donald Trump's recent criticism of the city and his insinuation that he could send in the U.S.

During her remarks at a press conference today, Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee berated President Trump over his comments on Oakland's crime rates. Lee stated, "It's fearmongering, not facts."
