After suffering consecutive walk-off losses to cap a sweep in Houston this weekend, the Twins have lost four in a row and eight of their last ten games. They're 10-15 since the incredible 13-game winning streak that brought them back to life after a poor start.

The Minnesota Twins destroyed the Athletics on Tuesday, earning an impressive 10-3 win with Pablo Lopez starting on the mound. However, the victory came at a cost, as Lopez exited early after experiencing discomfort in his shoulder.

For a day in which three of four affiliates lost their game, and there were a ton of runs scored, there were some solid individual performances. There were promotions and players returning from injury.

The Twins optioned pitcher Travis Adams down to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, according to their official transactions log. There was no corresponding move. Because it's an off day for the team, they can wait until tomorrow to call up a replacement — which, in this case, is widely expected to be starting pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson.
