Hogg found his position on shaky ground last month after he pledged to help primary Democratic members of Congress he perceived as ineffective.

A release from the Florida Democratic Party announced that eight delegates to the DNC representing Florida, including FDP Chair Nikki Fried, intend to vote against resolutions removing both Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta of Pennsylvania, who both won Vice Chair posts in February.

The move, which could affect Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta's vice chair positions, must be adopted by the full national body before it calls a new election.
